Don’t Limit Your Business with Only Online Press Releases

Though they may be short and simple, press releases are one of the best ways to boost profits and publicity. Press releases are documents released by businesses to the media that explain something about the company or an event that will be taking place soon. The information in a press release can be used by media sources to create a feature story and make the company more visible to the public eye.

Businesses gain credibility when they are commented on by the media. The average person will tend to believe that businesses mentioned by a well known local news source are reliable. Publicity created by such trustworthy sources is great for business and free, too.

Many stories that are featured on national news wires and national news programs once started out as simple “local stories.” Many writers and television news producers spend a big chunk of time watching out for the “next big thing.” Your story could be just the story they are looking for. Plus, being featured in local news stories gives you experience; when you get the chance for national exposure, you won’t be as nervous.

You can further your chances of getting in the press by asking anyone you are working with on a joint venture to also submit press releases to their own local media. If you happen to have a podcast, ask your guests to submit a press release to their local papers, informing them that they will be a guest on your show.

Preparing a template to use when you send out press releases can be a smart move. Put it on your company’s website so that business partners can download it. This will make the submission process faster and easier.

Stay in close contact with the news anchor or writer that prepares the story your company appears in. This will encourage them to use you again in a future news report, perhaps as an expert in your field. Be sure to show your appreciation for the publicity by sending a thank you card.

Any time you are featured in the press, more people are familiarized with your business. This can lead to new customers, clients, and business projects.

As you become featured in the press, don’t forget to save the clippings or links to online news stories and add them to your website. This will add to your credibility and make you look very professional.

Embroidered Polos: Help Your Customers Remember You Twice

How many times have you been driving and spotted a McDonald’s restaurant. Not because you saw the red and white sign that said “McDonald’s,” but you saw the yellow M, or as it is most commonly known, the “golden arches?” When you go inside to order, all of the employees are dressed in the corporate apparel. This is the power of a company brand. How can your company achieve the golden arches phenomenon? The buying public is accustomed to associating a company with a logo, a brand. But, it doesn’t usually start out that way.

How Embroidered Polos Can Make a Customer for Life

Know Thy Name First: The first step in building a bond with customers is to get your name out there. Customers have to first know you exist by name before they can start associating you with a brand. In fact, when many companies first start out, they have none of the branding factors in place, eg, corporate apparel, custom company shirts with Embroidered Polos, etc.

In the beginning stages, the corporate apparel of many companies may not even have a logo; just the company name and the name of the customer service representative. And this is fine. But, when companies expand, one of the first things they should do is create a company logo. In fact, this is a hallmark of large companies.

Brand Association: A company truly knows that it has moved beyond a mom and pop shop when its corporate shirts, for example, are embroidered polos with the company logo. What’s the significance of a logo? A logo represents many things on many levels to a company - its product, its target market, its values, etc. This is why many companies spend thousands getting it designed and thousands more protecting it via copyright.

Can you think of McDonald’s without thinking of the “M” arch? Or, Starbucks without the sea nymph in the green and white circle? No, of course not. All of their company clothing has this logo. And, this is where the second level of branding comes in - choosing the right logo.

When a company can look up and see its employees wearing its corporate apparel emblazoned with its newly created Embroidered Polos, it can feel that it has indeed arrived.
